Class 39(3) [Also in Group XXXVI] A heater assembly for a pressure vessel comprises an elongated tubular thimble 22 inserted in and sealed to, e.g. as by welding 29, an opening 26 in a wall 28 of the vessel, a removable elongated tubular sheathed heating element 20 received by the thimble, releasable sealing means 40, 42 which in conjunction with a cap 32 seal the sheath of the element to the thimble, a sealing structure 25 sealing the ends of the element conductors 50, 52 to the sheath, and a detachable housing 24 which seals and encloses a pair of detachable contacts 88 and 90 for coupling the conductors 50, 52 to a supply cable 138.
