827,787. Stop motion for textile doubling frames. FINE SPINNERS & DOUBLERS Ltd. June 12, 1958 [June 13, 1957], No. 18633/57. Class 120(2) A device for sever- ing broken ends in doubling frames consists of a plate B with an aperture through which the yarn &c. passes in normal working without touching the sides, having slits b<SP>4</SP> into one of which the yarn is moved and severed when it breaks. One such device is provided for each yarn between the delivering rollers and a guide directing the yarn to a ring spindle: it is adjustably fixed by nuts b<SP>1</SP> to a plate adjustably carried by the bracket carrying the guide. The top of both plates is shaped and slotted as at b<SP>3</SP> to facilitate threading-up.
