824,866. Spring forks for motor-cycles. NSU WERKE A. G. Jan. 15, 1957 [Feb. 10, 1956], No. 1475/57. Class 136(3) In a swinging lever sprung-fork suspension for the front wheels of motorcycles or motorscooters having one sided guidance of the wheel using an overhung axle, the fork 2 which carries the swinging lever 5 is constructed as a two - pronged fork with two points of bearing, the swinging lever 5 extending. beyond one bearing in such a manner that, passing right around the wheel it is likewise mounted at the fork's second point of bearing. A shock absorber 9 is secured at one end to the fork 2 by an anchorage 12 and its other end is pivoted at 10 to the swinging arm 5. At the points where it joins the fork the swinging lever 5 is provided with lugs 6 through which link pins 7 are passed The fork 2 is joined to the steering-shaft 1 by welding, brazing or similar means.
