Abstract

813,393. Baling presses. BAMFORDS Ltd. Dec. 5, 1956 [Dec. 17, 1955], No. 36258/55. Class 94(1). An agricultural baker, e.g. of the kind described in Specification 785,857, comprises a baling chamber formed by channel members 11 and 14, Fig. 2 and a ram 15 reinforced by four longitudinal angle members 16, the ram being reciprocably mounted by two pairs of grooved rollers 19 mounted on axles 17 carried by two of the members 16 and cooperating with guide rails 21 adjustably secured to the limbs 13 of one of the channels 11, and by a roller 28 running in a guide channel 26 secured to the other channel 11. The rollers 19 are located at the side of the chamber in which the feed opening is situated. In a modification, Fig. 4, four pairs of bevelled rollers 19 are carried by the four members 16 and cooperate with adjustably mounted rails 21. According to the Provisional Specification, the ram may be reciprocated by hydraulic means.
