Abstract

The invention comprises cobalamin analogues of the naphthimidazole series, and the preparation thereof by the action of E. coli strains on etiocobalamine and bases of the naphthimidazole or o-naphthylenediamine series. The fermentation and the isolation and purification of the products are carried out as in the parent Specification. In examples the bases used are naphthimidazole - (2 : 3) and naphthylenediamine-(2 : 3).
