Abstract
810,249. Metal sheeting. DECCA RECORD CO. Ltd. July 17, 1957 [Oct. 30, 1956], No. 33151/56. Class 20(2) [Also in Group XL(c)] A perforated metal plate formed so that it can be readily shaped into a surface of double cuvature has apertures arranged to form a reticulated structure with an even number of strip-like elements, alternately concave and convex is shape, surrounding each aperture. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 the apertures are regularly arranged and each is surrouned by six elements lying along circular arcs. Considering aperture 10 the elements 15, 17 and 19 lie along 60 degrees arcs of the same circle whilst the elements 14, 16, and 18 are similar but lie along the arcs of circles centred in adjacent apertures. The centres of the circles are at the intersections of three sets of parallel equally spaced lines intersecting at 120 degrees. In another embodiment (Fig. 2) the elements that enclose the extremities of the apertures are also circular and form parts of circles whose centres lie at the apices of an equilateral triangle within the aperture.
