Abstract

819,847. Liquefied gas storage containers. SOC. D'APPLICATION DES GAS PRODUITS ROUTIERS ET MATERIAUX. Oct. 25, 1957 [March 8, 1957], No. 33325/57. Class 8(2). A liquefied gas, e.g. butane cartridge 13, Fig. 6 is held in a container 1 having screwed into its upper end 2 an axially bored discharge head 3 comprising a piercing pin 8, Fig. 1 surrounded by an annular resilient member 7 capable of forming a seal around a perforable portion 13a of the cartridge, and being closed at its lower end 1a by a plate 11 removably connected thereto by a bayonet point 1b, 11b and having a leaf spring 12 whereby the cartridge is held against the sealing member 7, and the plate 11 cannot readily be removed until the discharge head 3 is unscrewed from the neck 2. The pin 8 is of strip form to facilitate discharge of gas through the bore 3b.
