Abstract
An amino acid preparation for the treatment of non-tumorous prostatic hypertrophy comprises a mixture of at least 45 per cent by weight of glutamic acid and one or more amino acids having 2 or more carbon atoms in the molecule. Specified amino acids are glycine and alanine. Ascorbic acid may be included in the preparation which may be administered as a tablet or in capsule form.
