Abstract
817,077. Refrigerating. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Aug. 22, 1957 [Aug. 22, 1956], No. 25639/56. Class 29 In a thermo-electric refrigerating unit having rows of alternate p- and n-type semiconductor elements 1 connected in series by bridging members 2, 3, e.g. of aluminium, the hot and cold faces of the assembly having fins 8, 9 electrically insulated from members 2, 3 by loaded resin 7, the elements 1 are spaced apart and the cross-section of members 2 on the hot side is greater than that of members 3 on the cold side. The spaces between the elements 1 may be evacuated or filled with thermal insulation 12. Specification 798,882 is referred to.
