Abstract
803,767. Separating dust from gas. FARBENFABBIKEN BAYER A.G. Sept. 19, 1956 [Sept. 26, 1955], No. 28668/56. Class 8(2). [Also in Group II] Dust filters for removing nitrogenous dust from alkaline-earth metal vapour during distillation (see Group II) have the form shown in Figs. 2-8. Fig. 2 shows a series of inclined metal plates 14 which may be mounted above or below a metal screen 15, Figs. 3 and 4. Figs. 5 and 6 show a series of perforated metal plates 16 mounted horizontally one above the other with perforations offset to provide a tortuous path for the gases. Figs. 7 and 8 show a series of annular discs 17 mounted one above another, the diameters of the discs decreasing upwardly. The discs are covered by a plate 18 and are seated on a screen 15.
