Abstract
800,880. Laying railway track. MATERIAL INDUSTRIAL S.A. Feb. 2, 1956. [Feb. 3, 1955], No. 3353/56. Class 104 (2). [Also in Group XXXII] A method of laying pre-assembled sections of railway track utilizes a frame structure 10 of a length at least equal to that of three wagons, the structure having at each end a beam 9 supported on flanged rollers 6 arranged at the sides of wagons 2, 3. The wagons can be secured to the beams 9 by clamps 12. The structure 10 is provided with a top rail 14 along which hoists 15 with suspension means are movable. In track-laying, the structure 10 supported by an empty wagon 2 and a wagon 3 carrying track sections 4 is placed on the line, spanning a section 1<SP>1</SP> which is removed by the hoists 15 to the wagon 2 and replaced by a section from wagon 3. The structure with the wagons 2, 3 and further wagons such as 7, is then moved step by step along the line, and other sections are removed, until the wagon 2 has been filled and the wagon 3 emptied. Clamp 12 between the structure 10 and wagon 3 is then. released and wagon 3 is moved forwards and the succeeding wagon 7 is clamped to the structure 10. The wagon 3 is then disconnected from wagon 7 and moved to replace wagon 2 previously unclamped from the structure 10. The structure is made up of two sections joined by pins 17 serving as vertical pivots for intermediate members 18.
