Abstract

805,978. Roofs. MALDEN, Ltd., W. S. Nov. 12, 1956 [Nov. 12, 1955; July 11, 1956], Nos. 32403/55 and 21443/56. Class 20(4) A roof construction comprises upper and lower roof members 11, 10, Fig. 1, spaced apart by elongated spaced members 12 which are so constructed that air can circulate freely between the roof members in directions transverse to the spacer members as well as parallel thereto, the roof being open on all sides. In Figs. 1 and 2 the upper roof is preferably of aluminium alloy sheets and the spacer members 12 are flanged for connection to the upper and lower roofs and provided with apertures 12a for the free flow of air therethrough. The upper roofs 11 are preferably spaced apart at the ridge 13 to assist the circulation of air. In Fig. 4 the two roofs are formed of corrugated aluminium sheets 20, 21, spaced apart by similarly corrugated spacer strips 22.
