Abstract
781,311. Electrodeposition of refractory metals. TITAN CO., Inc. Nov. 4, 1954 [Nov. 6, 1953], No. 31983/54. Addition to 734,094 and 777,829. Class 41. To improve the current efficiency in obtaining refractory metals by the method of Specification 777,829, the perforated cathodic basket has one or more perforated tubes projecting upwardly from the bottom. of the basket and arranged to control the distribution of current to the cathodic surface of the basket. As shown, the basket which may be of nickel, stainless steel, iron, or other corrosion resistant metal has a metal tube 32 disposed centrally over the aperture in the shelf partition between anode and cathode, and a skirt 38 is provided round the basket to confine the deposited metal.
