Abstract
A cosmetic or a hair-tonic is prepared by mixing with or dissolving in a cosmetic or a hair - tonic base, chondroitinsulphuric acid, mucoitinsulphuric acid, hyaluronsulphuric acid, caroninsulphuric acid or their alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salts, or mixtures thereof. The preparation which may take the form of a cream, emulsion or lotion, may also contain stearic acid, salicyclic acid, glycerol, glycerol monostearate, potassium hydroxide, potassium stearate, lacithin, lactic acid, alcohol, borax, chloroform, menthol, zinc oxide, beeswax, gumtragacanth, liquid paraffin, methyl benzoate, bay-oil, bay-rum, rose water and perfumes.
