784,286. Continuous-casting machines. EISENWERKE GELSENKIRCHEN AKT.- GES. May 30, 1956 [June 2, 1955], No. 16745/56. Addition to 750,709. Class 83 (1). Means for feeding molten metal in the continuous casting of tubes &c., wherein the molten metal flows to its level in the mould cavity by way of a moving discharge device, the position of which is constantly changed and which is provided with one or more discharge openings which each consist of an open-topped slot formed in the side wall of the device, is characterized in that the distributing device 1 is provided with pocket-like bulges or arms 5 which project over the pouring inlet 2, and in whose walls are arranged said discharge openings 6-10. Baffles 11, 12 prevent the casting streams from impinging directly on the walls of the mould 3 and core 4, and 13 is a slag-barrier.
