771,185. Edge-runner mills. PFEIFFER BARBAROSSAWERKE AKT.-GES. Nov. 7, 1955, No. 31771/55. Class 59 An edge-runner mill comprises a plurality of grinding bodies 4 rolling between a driven rotatable grinding bed 2 and a spring-urged pressure plate 6, each grinding body having a distance piece 13 mounted on the shaft 12 thereof, and the distance pieces being pressed away from each other by means of springs 17 or rubber blocks. The material to be ground falls through openings 9, 10 in a retaining ring 7 and in the pressure plate 6 on to the grinding, bed 2, and the ground material falls through an annular aperture 11A into a space 11.
