763,857. Bushes forbungholes. MAUSER, A. July 20, 1954 [June 12, 1954], No. 21108/54. Class 125(3). An internally screw-threaded bush 1 for the aperture of non-metallic containers which may have a metal foil lining 9, has an inner flange which bears on the under face of the container shell 2 and carries packing 5 in a recess 4 and an upper flange 3 with dentation 7 which flange is beaded over to grip the upper face of shell 2, the dentation 7 being forced into the material to prevent relative rotation between bush and container. The cut surface 6 of the opening is protected against moisture by the application of an impregnating layer. In a modification, Fig. 3, packing 8 completely embraces the container edge. In a further modification upper and lower packings are provided.
