Abstract

727,836. Spray-producers. FOUNDRY SERVICES, Ltd. Jan. 29, 1954 [Jan. 29, 1953], No. 2616/53. Class 69 (3). A spray gun is supplied with compressed air and sprays liquid located in a container, and it is so constructed that it is held and operated by one hand so that it can alternatively be used for spraying, blowing, or agitating the liquid in the container. The gun body 10 is supplied with compressed air by a pipe 13, and a pipe 14 connects with the liquid container. When a normally closed valve 16 is depressed and opened by the base of the operator's thumb, and a vent 21 closed by the ball of the thumb, Fig. 3, compressed air passes through passages 17, 18 and nozzles 19 and 22 to cause spraying. With the vent opened a blowing action is effected, and by closing the nozzle 22 with the first finger and closing the vent 21 compressed air passes back to the container to agitate the liquid therein. The liquid passage 30 contains a throttle piece 26 with a bore 28 of a size depending on the liquid viscosity.
