725,236. Valves. SOC. NOUVELLE DES ETABLISSEMENTS BARDIN, RENARD COUCHE. June 29, 1953 [July 22, 1952], No. 17969/53. Class 135. In an air inflating valve, the valve seat unit 4 has an integral intermediate outer enlargement 15 having at its inner end a recess 16 forming an elastic flange 17 which replaces the usual rubber packing and bears against a conical inner constriction in the valve body. A spring-loaded valve member seating on the seat end 5 is carried on the stem 8 and the seat 4 is held in the valve body by the screw member 3. The flange may be tapered and the unit made of metal or synthetic plastic material.
