Abstract

699,915. Thermal switches. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 16, 1952 [Jan. 18, 1951 No. 1352/51. Class 38 (v) [Also in Group XI] One end of a sheath 6 containing a bimetallic strip abuts and is brazed to a bridging member 5 which is brazed across a constriction formed by the bowing outwardly and then inwardly of the end portions of an immersion heater. The other end of the sheath 6 is secured to a plug 2 in which are mounted contacts 14, 15 openable by the bimetallic strip acting on an insulated extension 17 of an arm 16 which carries contact 14.
