686,566. Press platens. AKTIEBOLAGET MOTALA VERKSTAD. Sept. 27, 1950 [Oct. 6, 1949], No. 23708/50. Class 87 (ii). A press platen comprises sections 1, 3 each having transverse and longitudinal channels 4, 5 for the passage of heating fluid. The sections may be connected to each other or with one (as shown) or more intermediate sections 2 having interconnecting channels. The sections may be aligned by plugs 9. An intermediate section may also have inlets or outlets. The sections may be parallel to the longitudinal direction of the platen instead of the transverse direction as shown.
