676,701. Commodes; chamber pots. MARSHALL, A. J. July 31, 1950 [July 29, 1949], No. 19977/49. Class 26 In a portable commode in which a chamber pot is mounted in an aperture in a seat with folding legs, the pot 4 is made of rubber sheeting or other waterproof flexible material and its mouth is formed with a thickened rim 5 with a groove 6 to receive the edge of the opening 2 in the seat 1. On each side of opposite frame members 3a is pivoted at 8 a tapered leg 7 having a flat top 9 which engages the underside of the seat 1 when in the supporting position. The legs may have slots 11 to receive bracing strips, or crossbraced pairs of legs may be provided.
