Abstract

A device for propagating shrubs or plants by layering is in the form of a hollow open-ended cylinder having at one end two diametrically opposed open-ended slots of unequal length. The branch selected for layering is passed through the two slots with its tip emerging on the side of the longer slot. The device is then put on the ground and filled with soil and left for the branch to take root.
