Abstract

600,005. Lenses. MATTHEWS, H. Jan. 28, 1944, No. 1617. [Class 97 (i)] A lens is formed from two concentric hemispheres e, f, of equal or different radii, continuous through a central neck g, but otherwise separated by an annular stop a at the equator extending from the periphery of the hemisphere to the surface of the neck. Alternatively, the central glass neck may be removed and replaced by an oil-filled core. A shutter may be used with the central stop. Specification 589,548 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
