576,181. Colotomy appliances. OLIVER, C. S. and OLIVER, D. M. Feb. 17, 1944, No. 2998. [Class 81 (ii)] A colotomy device comprises a truncated conical member 1 provided at the larger end with a thin flange 2 for securing to a body belt 4 and at the smaller end with one. or two flanges 3 and 13 which carry a discharge container 6. The container comprises two hinged portions provided with recesses fitting the conical member, and may have a deodorant tank 14 at the top having a spring controlled discharge valve 16 and a closed filling vent 15. The conical member may be so far reduced as at 17 as to form a stop.
