[Class 143] In a weighing- apparatus, the chart 22 is provided with at least two graduated scales arranged in series across the span of the pointer's movement and indicating widely-separated weight ranges automatically selected under the action of one or more pickup weights 10 controlled by the weight of the commodity. The graduated scales may be of the under-and-over type as shown or each scale may have a continuous weight range. The pick-up weight may co-operate with either arm of the beam. In other arrangements the scale pan support is arranged between the indicator and the beam fulcrum.
