Abstract

481,818. Lamp standards. PENDRY, L. C. Oct. 28, 1936, No. 29306. [Class 75 (iii)] A tubular standard is provided with a tubular translucent or semiopaque insert e containing a low-wattage electric lamp h, the ends of the insert being screwed on the adjacent ends of the parts b, c of the standard or a threaded member f thereon. The lamp h is preferably connected in parallel with the main lamp in a holder d, which may include a switch and means for holding a sliade. The member f is provided with vent holes. The member e may be made of glass, a urea product, cellulose acetate, casein or other plastic material and may be ornamented as by embossed figures or contour or silhouette figures or designs.
