Abstract
453,757. Frictional pocket igniters. PUGH, W., 23, Montreal Road, Ilford, Essex, and MORDAN & CO., Ltd., S., 41, City Road, London. May 8, 1936, No. 13040. [Class 75 (iii)] The operating arm k<1> of a spring-pressed slidable latch k for the spring controlled cover n is disposed adjacent the operating wheel c of the friction-wheel b. The latch is located in a recess in a block g, the arm k<1> being slotted to take about the pivot pin of the wheels b, c. The cover n carries a spring-pressed wick cap o and a button p for engaging a pin m on the latch and is opened by a spring- pressed plunger q engaging a cam surface n<2> thereon. The top of the block g is slotted and channelled to receive the flint j and a spring-pressed bolt h adapted to be held in retracted position by engaging a projection h<1> thereon in a notch g<2> for renewing the flint. The cover is provided with a depending portion n<1> for closing a cut-away portion of the casing a on the side adjacent the wick f.
