AMBLER, Ltd., F., Dumb Mills, and ALBUT, A., 12, Wharncliffe Road, both in Frizinghall, Bradford, and GREENWOOD, H., 439, Keighley Road, Morton, near Bingley, both in Yorkshire. May 24, 1935, No. 15131. [Class 120 (ii)] Twist tubes and like twisters for use in machines for operating upon fibrous material comprise a primary tube or like part band an eccentrically mounted tube or rider d which is movable in a slot c under centrifugal force relatively to a resilient or other supporting bar e, the sliver passing through the tube being thereby nipped against the bar. In the driving-head shown, the slots c of adjacent tubes are spaced at right angles to prevent fouling of the tubes b. Such twisters may be used instead of rubbing rollers or leathers.
