Abstract

456,653. Hose-suspenders. JENKIN, D., 14, Regent Street, London. April 12, 1935, No. 11399. [Class 44] In a hose-suspender of button-andloop type the tongue 7 having a thickened lower end or button 8 co-operating with the narrow end of an aperture 6 of the usual loop frame 5 is of such shape as to fit snugly within the aperture so that in use the tongue and frame lie substantially in the same plane, and the tongue is attached to the upper portion of the frame by stamping out a tongue 9 to provide a slot through which the tongue is threaded, the tongue 9 then being pressed back to grip the tongue. A bead 10 is provided on the tongue to prevent it being drawn through the slot. The button 8 may be attached after the tongue has been fixed in place. A slot is provided to receive the usual suspension tape 12 which may be provided with an adjustment device, not shown, as described in Specification 414,129. In use, the frame 5 is placed inside the hose, Fig. 3.
