Abstract
431,181. Coin-freed article-delivery apparatus. HARPER, P. S., Adelaide House, Ashurst Walk, Croydon. Jan. 8, 1935, No. 665. [Class 27] In apparatus such as described in Specifications 336,818, [Class 27], and 428,917 where the articles fall down a shoot 2 to an open de livery aperture 3, a stop bar 5 supported by pillars 6 is spaced away from the wail 1 containing the aperture 3 so that the packet 8 falling down the shoot comes to rest with its outer end engaging the bar 5. The supports 6 are spaced apart wider than the aperture 3 to allow the packet to be easily picked up by hand, the packet resting on the end 4 of the shoot and the bar 5 only. The top of the bar 5 is slightly below the lower edge 7 of the aperture 3, and the end 4 of the shoot is preferably corrugated. Specification 390,391 also is referred to.
