Abstract

436,584. Portable buildings; slabs. HEPPEL, J. B., and FELLS, T., 3, Upper Park Road, Bromley, Kent. March 8, 1934, No. 7435. [Classes 20 (i), 20 (iv), and 87 (i)] Dismountable slab buildings such as garages, stables, and sheds are formed by bolting together concrete slabs 1 flanged on one or both sides. For the corners of the building, one slab, Fig. 3, has the flange omitted from one edge and the bolt holes are formed in the slab itself on that edge. An inner lining or shelves and brackets may be secured to lugs 13. Division walls are formed of slabs flanged on both sides. In the modification shown in Figs. 5 and 6, a corner post 14 is bolted to slabs at right angles by bolts 16, 18 ; the joint may be covered by a flange 19. The top of the posts may have a horizontal projection 20 to which a beam 22 may be bolted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 220,541, 237,020, 250,676, and 256,073, [all in Class 87 (i)].
