Abstract

399,250. Garden edging. FIELD, A., Edgeley Bank, Bosworth Road, New Barnet Hertfordshire. May 4, 1932, No. 12874 [Class 6 (ii).] An edging for a garden path or the like is constructed from strips of sheet metal formed at their ends to engage by sliding horizontally one over another so as to form a continuous edging. The strips are formed of scrap sheet iron and the upper edge is bent to form a tubular beading b and the lower edge is doubled up at c. One. end of the tubular edge b is expanded at d and the other end is contracted at e to fit in an expanded portion. The lower edge c is slightly opened below the contracted edge e and the opposite lower edge g is cut away. Holes h may be provided for drainage purposes. The strips may be coated with a waterproof bitumen paint.
