Abstract
397,597. Roller mills. LORD, H. P., Stonecliff, Savile Park, Halifax, Yorkshire, and ROBINSON & SON, Ltd., T., Railway Works, Rochdale. April 20, 1932, No. 11301. [Class 59.] In a roller mill in which the scrapers are lifted from the rolls when the rolls are parted the counterbalance weights on the scrapers are adapted to be engaged by means upon the eccentric rod by which the rollers are parted. As shown, the scrapers a are mounted on pivots b<1> and are balanced by stirrup-like weights c. On the eccentric rod f which separates the rollers, straps g are mounted which carry adjustable heads i adapted to contact with the balance weights c to tilt the scrapers out of contact with the rollers when the latter are separated.
