Abstract

388,335. Absorbent pad burners. MARRIS'S, Ltd. and MARRIS, R. G., 16, Cumberland Street, Birmingham. Oct. 5, 1932, No. 27643. [Class 75 (i).] An absorbent-pad burner of the kind described in Specification 152,239, [Class 75 (i), Burners &c.], comprises a domed casing 3 having a sunken top portion 3a in contact with the top of the pad 5, three rings of burner apertures being provided. The inner ring 3b of burner apertures is formed in the sunken portion 3a, the middle ring 3c in an inclined annular portion 3c, and the outer or main ring 3g in a horizontal annular portion 3f. An extinguishing cover 6 fits over the vertical wall surrounding the annular portion 3f. The cover 6 may be provided with a central aperture normally closed by a cap 7 which may be removed when a simmering flame is required.
