Abstract
384,219. Treating wheels for increasing adhesion. JOSKY, W., 4, Alsterdamm, Hamburg, Germany. June 21, 1932, No. 17578. Convention date, Aug. 8, 1931. [Class 103 (iii).] A solution for use on tyre treads, adapted to produce a non-slipping surface when diluted with water, is formed by dissolving resin, wood pitch, or like resinous material in alcohol or other organic solvent to which may be added an organic acid such as acetic or lactic acid. The solution may be sprayed on to the tyres from a container controlled by the driver. The invention is stated to be applicable to rubber or metal tyres.
