372,646. Vehicle bodies. METROPOLITAN-CAMMELL CARRIAGE, WAGON, & FINANCE CO., Ltd. and RAYER, F. H., Metropolitan Road, Saltley, Birmingham. Aug. 21, 1931, No. 23522. [Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i).] A metallic upright or pillar for road and railway vehicles comprises a tubular member with channels b of the shape shown, the flanges c of the channels being preferably of doubled metal. The pillar may be of steel, aluminium, &c. Fig. 2 shows the exterior light panelling e secured to the pillar by means of a wooden fillet f while on the interior seats &c. are secured to brackets h having integral therewith blocks j which are held in the channel b by rivets k. Damaged external panelling is easily removable and replaceable.
