Abstract

370,197. Scaffolding. SCAFFOLDING (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd. and JONES, D. PALMER-, 344, South Lambeth Road, London. April 20, 1931, No. 11628. [Class 20 (ii).] A clip for securing toe-boards or guard boards to tubular scaffolding, or the like, comprises a U-shaped band A, Figs. 1 and 2, having projections formed on its arms for receiving the toe-boards B<1>, B<2>, and having means, such as a screw C, for clamping the boards to the scaffold pole P. The arms A<1>, A<2> of the clip terminate respectively in shoulders A<3>, A<4>, and beyond these shoulders laterally extending portions A<5>, A<6> are arranged. The portion A<6> is bent at A<8> to form a downward extension A<10> which is opposed to the shoulder A<4> and forms a channel therewith for receiving the toeboard B<2>. The other portion A<5> is formed with two mutually opposed upstanding projections A9, A<11>, which form a channel for receiving the toe-board B<1>. The toe-boards may be secured in position by nails A<14> extending through holes A<13> in the portions A<5>, A<6>.
