361,072. Inflating - valves. SCHRADER'S SON, Inc., A., 470, Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Wahl, J. ; Cambridge Road, Rosedale, New York, U.S.A.) Oct. 20, 1930, No. 31415. Convention date, Aug. 16. [Class 135.] Dust caps.-A valve, for use as a tyre-valve cap through which the tyre may be inflated, deflated, or gauged, comprises a casing A, open at its top and provided below said top with an enlarged bore have a valve seat F therein ; a check valve having a rubber seating member h<1> mounted on a pin h<2> having a domed enlargement J at its outer end projecting slightly from, and substantially closing the opening in the casing to prevent entry of foreign matter and a seating spring L located above the valve seat in the enlarged bore. Depression of the enlargement J by a gauge or inflating connection unseats the tyre valve, the part J moving into the enlarged bore to provide a free air passage. The cap is threaded at its lower interior and upper exterior to correspond with the nipple of the convential tyre valve stem, and a rubber or fibre sealing washer D is also provided.
