Abstract

352,378. Covering optical cases. WILLMOTTS, Ltd. and WILLMOTT, F. T., Swan Lane, Evesham. June 4, 1930, No. 7739/31. Divided on 348,905. [Class 18.] In the manufacture of optical cases in which a metal body and lid are covered by a single blank of textile material, the lid is lined and an excess marginal portion of an impregnated lid covering is folded over the edge of the lid lining and secured by press tools. The lid 2 of the case is supported on a die and a heated press tool 11, provided with edge serrations 15, is depressed to unite the parts. The small flaps 4, 6, Fig. 2, may be folded between the lining and the lid. Specification 348,905 is referred to.
