Flat endless-belt conveyers.-A conveyer belt has its conveying surface free from rubber so as to have a low coefficient of friction, while the surface in contact with the driving pulleys is rubberized to have a higher coefficient. In one form the belt consists of several layers of woven fabric, the layers on one side being impregnated with rubber and vulcanized, while the outermost layer on the other side is of a closer texture and contains no rubber.
