Abstract

320,535. India Rubber, Gutta Percha, & Telegraph Works Co., Ltd., and Avery, W. L. Oct. 25, 1928. Tyre attachments to rims.-The cord windings A; B of a tyre casing are looped around pins or staples which are encircled by one or more flexible endless metal rings without being integrally connected thereto. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the pins C are shaped to seat a flexible cable D<1> which may be encased in fabric D. The space between the cords A, B, outside the ring D<1>, may be filled with rubber or fabric. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, straight pins E are arranged inside a ring F formed of flat braided wire tape. Fig. 5 shows a further modification, in which straight pins G are fitted loosely in holes (or slots) in the ring H. Specification 1940/10 is referred to.
