Abstract

326,427. Werner, F. Dec. 13, 1928, [Convention date]. Razors, safety. - In a safety razor having a bendable clamped blade, the clamping means are resilient so that, when shaving, the blade oscillates in its entire extent in accordance with the tension in the said resilient means. A convex guard b is rigidly connected to a hollow tubular member c; a concave backing-plate g is provided with a clamping-pin h, and a grip d rigidly connected to a tubular member f has an internal thread engaging an external thread on the lower end of the member h. A spring k between the member c and the grip d provides screw-adjustable resilient clamping of the blade a. The threads on the members f and h are of such length that the spring k can never be completely compressed. The spring may be replaced by a rubber or other elastic member.
