Abstract

313,359. Riess, C. A. July 31, 1928. Electric appliances. - An appliance in the form of a bandage, pad, mask, &c., for treating the human face and features consists of a plurality of sheets 1, 2 of rubbered fabric, rubber, oiled silk, or other flexible insulating material carrying between them conductive material, e.g. a sheet or sheets 8 of tin or other metal foil, means such as an insulated flexible cable 5 being provided to connect the conductive material to a source of high frequency current, when desired. The application surface of the device may be covered by a piece of loosely woven linen fabric 6 which forms a spark gap. The device is held in position by rubber bands, adjustable straps, &c., so as to exercise a moderate pressure and may be used without connection to the current source. Constructions for treating the whole or parts of the face, and the chin and neck are referred to.
