Abstract
319,370. T. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. Sept. 22, 1928, [Convention date]. Ink suitable for use in intaglio printing comprises a lake made by converting into alkaline earth salts the monoazo dyestuffs derived from diazotized halogenated anilines or naphthylamines or unsulphonated substitution products thereof and 2-naphthol-6- or 7-sulphonic acids. Yellow to bluish red lakes fast to light, oil, and water are obtained. In an example a composition containing gilsonite-asphalt, xylene, barium salt of the dyestuff o-chloraniline # 2-naphthol-#-sulphonic acid and magnesia usta is described. The mixture may be brightened by adding a fat soluble dyestuff. Printings produced are water-resistant after drying.
