317,779. Keep Macpherson, Ltd. Aug. 22, 1928, [Convention date]. Fixing by self-grip sockets of special forms. - The haft socket 7 of a hoe is made with arcuate end walls 12, 13 and with parallel straight side, walls 11. The curved shoulders 8 of the blade. 5 are integral with the tapered socket 7 and encroach upon it for approximately half its length. All the walls of the socket taper from the bottom to the top, and the upper and lower faces of the socket are set at different angles to the blade 5. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the shoulders 8 may be straight and that the orifice of the socket may be rectangular. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
