Plug couplings.-A socket suitable for use with draw-out switchgear comprises three sections 1 - - 3 held by helical springs 4 and supported on a base 6 by means of symmetrically arranged flexible members 8, which are attached tangentially at 9 to the sections and also to parallel lugs 7 on the baee 6. A cover 10 screwed to the lugs 7 prevents undue axial movement of the socket.
