Abstract

299,748. Hobson, C. J. July 30, 1927. Foot-arch supports.- A metatarsal arch support consists of a pad of indiarubber or like material connected by one or more press-stud fasteners to the boot or shoe so as to be readily detachable. In one form, the pad a has a stud d engaging a socket b let into the insole c of the boot, and is of concavo-convex form so that when in position its edge is in close frictional contact with the insole. The sockets may be formed as hollow rivets used to secure a metal longitudinal arch support in position below the insole.
