Packing sheet materials.-Sheet material 1, such as aluminium or other foil is wound on a tubular aluminium &c. core 2 and the outer surface is protected by paper 3, felt or similar material 4, or cardboard'or sheet metal 5. Covers 6, depressed at the centre to fit within the core 2, lined with felt &c. 7, and with peripheral flanges 6<a>, are then applied to the ends and held in position by an axial bolt 8.
