Abstract

Battery lamps.-A writing-pad or tablet is so connected to an electric pocket torch that when not in use it can be moved into a position against one flat side of the torch, and for use can be moved into a position in which the writing surface is illuminated. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the holder f of the pad is pivoted to a cap c fitted on the head of the torch b so that it can be swung from the position shown in broken lines to that shown in full lines for use. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, a housing i is provided against one flat side of the torch, and the holder k for the pad e is adapted to be slidden into and out of this. A pivot l allows the pad to be swung more into the beam of light, as shown.
